Spring Break kick off

We are having a blast kicking off Spring Break 2014 with a sleepover with one of Mallorie's BFFs!  We've had an action packed night from making an awesome rainbow cake, making Tshirts, making pizzas, and a popcorn and movie night!  The best part was making the rainbow cake!  It was fun to make and looks so cool!  Check out the fun!

Fun in the Sun

I'm so excited to be starting this new blog!  When Mallorie was a baby I was so good about writing in a journal to preserve cherished firsts and memories of her.  Now that she's 6 and Trent has come along I'm not so good about writing in a journal.  By the time evening arrives and both kiddos are in bed I am too tired to pick up a pen and write.  But I'm hoping this blog will serve as an outlet for me to share funny stories about our family and provide a place for me to go back and enjoy the moments of our family that are too soon forgotten.

This past year I went back to teaching after being a stay at home mom for 5 years.  It was a challenging year but now that our family has adjusted I am happier than ever to have gone back to work and met such fascinating people.  However, one of the perks of teaching is that you get to enjoy summers with your family.  We have had so much fun playing on our water slide at home, going to Sea World and catching up with good friends.  Most of all, I've enjoyed spending so much time with my sweet babies.  Although I've joked with my grade level and a few friends that I'm probably the only one ready to go back to work I'm really not.  My almost 2 year old stinker is quite the handful.  Check out some pics of his adventures this summer.

Needless to say he is quite the character and such a HANDFUL!!  But he is so affectionate and quite funny.  He loves his "sissy" sooo much.  I expect his future teachers to be contacting me frequently.  LOL!

Mallorie has kept busy this summer too.  I really don't know where the time goes.  My sweet momma's girl has grown up and is a bit more of a daddy's girl these days.  She has started going to Rodeo playdays and rides her horse quite well.  She's enjoyed some summer fun too at Cheer Camp, Vacation Bible School and playdates with friends.

Tommorrow we will hitting the rodeo trail.  But this time it's not Daddy roping.  We'll be going to TWO playdays in one day.  Momma and Daddy couldn't be more proud.  See  you down the trail!
